Many don't realize this, but USDA organic certification is expensive and time-consuming, especially for small businesses! When a partner uses organic practices, it means that they use organic ingredients and/or organic farming practices to make their products.

Partners with the certified organic highlight means they have gone through the USDA organic certification process, and can use that badge on their products.

local



The technical definition of "local" is within 50 miles, but we use a loose definition of the term and consider any nearby business to be local. These partners use ingredients and partnerships local to them to make their products.

vegan

This one's pretty self-explanatory, but these partners don't use any animals in their products - even eggs or dairy.
